What to expect once you're in

Who this page describes

Everyone. Employees and contractors go through roughly the same flow here — the expectations below are how the whole team operates, whatever your role.

Remote work, done seriously

Most roles here are remote, and we treat remote like a real job site, not a loose arrangement:

  • Work your full, typical schedule and stay reachable for teammates and clients the same way you would in an office.
  • Attend every scheduled meeting on video, and respond promptly across chat, email, and phone during the workday.
  • Business-appropriate attire still applies on video — internal or client-facing, you're at work.
  • Basic security habits apply — lock your screen when you step away, keep company accounts and equipment to yourself.

Our comms culture

We're deliberate about which channel a conversation happens on, so nothing important gets buried in a fast-moving chat feed:

  • Chat is the default hub for quick pings, simple questions, and tracking day-to-day progress — expect a response within about two hours during business hours.
  • Email carries anything that needs a paper trail or a task that can't get lost in a newer message.
  • Phone calls take over once a chat thread runs five or six messages without landing anywhere, or the topic needs actual tone of voice.
  • Video is for visual troubleshooting — screen-sharing a technical or design problem — not a default meeting habit.

If a conversation moves from one channel to another, whoever moves it says so in the original thread. Nothing just disappears into a different inbox.

You get a system, not just a login

We run an internal Docs Hub with role-specific onboarding tracks, guided walkthroughs for every tool you'll actually use, and a growing library of step-by-step SOPs — the same discipline behind Guiding Principle #8: write the fix into the system so it never has to be taught the same way twice. New hires don't get handed a login and a "figure it out." You get a track built for your role, and a place to look things up whenever you need to.
